Memories, love, loss...a mix for a masterpiece!
Here is my first post, sharing this nostalgic song "HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN" played by Red house painters, a band I've known by Vanilla sky movie.
The title evoked widly the feeling of the loss but in my opinion the lyric, then, is about LOVE.
There's a clear declaration of love to a girl.
The memories of childhood juxtapose, first,perfectly with the idea of remembering how to not be too harsh on yourself and, second, with the idea that grow up is difficult if you're alone.
That's why he says: "I can't believe all the good things that you do for me sat back in a chair like a princess from a faraway placenobody's nice, when you're older your heart turns to ice".
They probably are friends from long time and while he loves her and want to stay with, she is maybe a bit cynical because of her past.
